With the help of his brother (Barry’s) Kevin built his 1st race car in 1982. (1964 Ford 390) Kevin raced the Ford in Lisbon ND, and Jamestown ND. (Stampede) Kevin started in the Street Class then moved up to Hoppy Stock and last Super Stocks. Kevin is still racing Super Stocks to date.
Accomplishments: 3 Track Championships at Sheyenne River Speedway in Lisbon, ND and one at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, ND.
“I enjoy the people, the fans, which cheer me on and enjoy it as much as I do. Biggest Dislike- controversy- I just want to race for the enjoyment of the sport. Leave me out of the controversies.
Highlights- The year we raced Alexandria, MN. With a brand new Eagle chassis, I won the first race, mid season championship, and the Championship night. Another highlight is finishing 1st and 2nd in a feature in West Fargo, ND with my brother Barry. I really enjoy racing against my brother Barry and now with my son Erik.
A cool Memory: Borrowing my brother’s engine in West Fargo to race for the Championship. We changed motors right at the race track in the pit after the heats and made it out for the feature.”
